Flirtin' and Whiskey Man are good, but I always liked "Jukin' City", "One Man's Pleasure", "Boogie No More", "The Rambler" and "Lady Luck"!.
I saw Hatchet in L!.A!. in 1982!. The mayor had proclaimed it "Molly Hatchet Day" and the band was playing in a small theater in Hollywood!. There was no seating - we all got to stand in front of the stage!. They Rocked!!!
What I'll always remember was bringing a girl with me that I had a big crush on (I was 20 years old)!. She drank way too much before the show and get sick at the concert!. I went with her out to the parking lot, and sat with her while she heaved her cookies!. She eventually got to feeling better (it took at least an hour)!. The jerks at the door wouldn't let us back in to the show, so we had to sit in the lot!. We had come with friends, so we couldn't go home either!. We sat outside for about 2-1/2 hours!. She knew how much I loved Hatchet, and I scored major bonus points for staying with her instead of going back inside!.
The next day, she came to my apartment and told me how sweet I was to stay with her the night before while she was sick!. It meant a lot to her, and said it was the nicest thing a guy had ever done for her!. We hooked up that morning (Good Rockin'!?) and we were together for over 3 years!.
Sorry for the long story!. Whenever I hear a Molly Hatchet tune, or just hear someone mention that name, it takes me back to that day!. I hated to miss the show, but it turned into good times!. Very good times!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
