Question: How is Christian metal not real metal!?
In that 25 worst hair metal bands, they said for the band stryper that Christian and metal dont go together!. How is that so!? The devil wears prada is like metal, and they are Christian!. and i like them alot!. Metal doesnt HAVE to be about death, hell, satan!.!.!.or whatever!. I thought what made metal was the music, not ONLY the lyrics, or the bands members' beliefs!. Do you agree that Christian and metal dont go together!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm sure it was more geared at the band Stryper itself, who 'claimed' to be a Christian band at that time!.!.!.however it's kinda hard to maintain that 'Christian' image when your lead singer was an alcoholic!.!.!.!.threw that claim right out the window and you didn't really hear much about them again after that!. I never liked them anyway, Christian or not, and if you sound 'metal' then you're metal to me, regardless of your beliefs!. I too like Christian Hard Rock (Flyleaf, Pillar, Thousand Foot Krutch ect!.) and some Christian Metal!. But it's like most original metal bands WERE all about everything evil!.!.!.drugs, sex, death, hell ect!. Some even say that style of music itself is evil!.!.!.which is a load of crap!. That is why I can see why some think it is an oxymoron!.
But I thinks it's cool what a lot of Christian "metal" bands have done!.!.!.!.to take that same style of music, turn it around with a powerful message that is positive and ROCK it! Why not!? Let the naysayers have their say!.!.!.Christian metal is awesome!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I do agree that Christian Metal is metal!. It is just that a majority of the Christian Metal bands that I have heard tend to have very amatuer like screaming and singing!. Some of the Christian Metalcore bands like Inhale Exhale and Blessthefall sound like they are Screamo bands, and I am not a big fan of Screamo!. That is particular why I don't listen to Christian Metalcore that much!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Christian metal is great I don't know why some people hate it!. I agree that what makes metal is the music not the band's beliefs!. That is a sin in itself!. Christian metal!.!.!.why take something that never was holy (maybe not all evil, but surly not pure and holy) and try and turn this sacred music all in its self and corrupt it by calling it Christian metal!.

Metal is often associated with darkness, evilness, anger, non-conformity, being against the status quo etc!.
Christians are stereotypically goody-two-shoes who love their lord, their gospel and all that jazz!. They don't embody the traditional essence of what it is to be Metal!.
A combination of the two seems like a contradiction in terms!.
That's what I think the reasoning behind it is anyway!.

It doesn't even matter to me - I enjoy a lot of religious music, particularly music with Hindu persuations, despite my lack of belief in a deity!. I don't believe in goblins, but one of my favourite songs mentions them!.!.!. weird explanation!. ha!.
