Everyone has what it stands for right!. But it's worth mentioning that EPs are usually about 4 songs long, two songs per side of vinyl and LPs usually are 6+ songs!. I could be completely wrong and not know the actual standards but I think an album with 5 songs can still be called an EP and 6 usually makes it a full album!. I don't think you'd call a 3 song vinyl an EP either, as I understand it that's just a double B-side single!. But that's just what all this is, as I understand it I'm not an expert but this is what I've inferred from my music experience!.
EP -Extended Play - 4/5 songs
LP - Long Play - 6+ songsWww@Enter-QA@Com
EP -Extended Play - 4/5 songs
LP - Long Play - 6+ songsWww@Enter-QA@Com
Extended play (EP) is the name typically given to vinyl records or CDs which contain more music than a single, but are too short to qualify as albums!. Usually, an EP has around 10–20 minutes of music, a single has up to 10 minutes and an album has 30–80 minutes!. Mini-LP's generally contain 20-30 minutes of music!.[1] In the United Kingdom, the Official Chart Company defines a cut off between EP and album classification at 25 minutes length or 4 tracks (plus alternative versions of featured songs)
Long playing (LP) record albums are either 10 or 12-inch diameter, 33-1/3 rpm vinyl phonograph records!. They were first introduced in 1948 and served as a primary release format for recorded music until the compact disc began to significantly displace them in the late 1980s!.
The long-playing record is an analog format!. The digital recording of sound was only made practical by the technical advances in microprocessors and computing which occurred in the 1970s and 1980s!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
