I own a lot but my favorite is probably my Ibanez Jem (Vai signature model)!.!.!.I use it for all styles from metal to jazz, it is a very versatile guitar!!

This question is actually a difficult one to answere in that there is no absolute best guitar period!. Some will say a LesPaul58 cherry sunburst custom (my personal fav) some will say a 62 Fender stratocaster (another fav) some will tell you a paul reed smith artist series (fantastic guitars) some will tell you grestch (blast from the past) some will say steinberger (blast into the future) and some will even tell you that the cheapo teisco del ray was the best guitar they ever owned (I've played some very cool ones!) I own @ 20 guitars altogether and although the les paul is my favorite I also love my two Ibanez S series and play them more than the others right now but i still pull out the steinberger and the E!.S!.P all the time!. stylistically there are only generalizations about which is best for what and there are no set boundries!. I would like to own one of every guitar made! But I don't think I could afford it or find room for them all! all in all it really depends on personal taste!. p!.s!. there are millions of dead heads out there who would disagree with you and your statement was uncalled forWww@Enter-QA@Com

I play mostly rock music!. I have an acoustic currently though!. It's steel sting and has a kinda mellow sound!. I'm saving for an Epiphone Les Paul!. I've played one and they have a nice vibe but mostly for rock!. You need to decide what kind of music you wanna play first!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
