Can music be a talent?!
Question: Can music be a talent!?
I don't mean being able to sing or playing instruments!. But I love music, I really do, I love all genre's, I listen to music everyday for most of the day, I can't live without it!. I know some people say they have a ear for music, but what does that mean!?
Does being really intrested in music count as a talent!? I don't have a lot of talents, and I guess I'm just looking for one!. Oh and I'm learning to play the guitar, will being a music listener help with my learning and playing of the guitar!?

I don't think liking music is really a talent!. Even music industry "talent scouts" don't have to have talent, or an ear for good music, they have to have an ear for what will sell records or an eye for what can be marketed to the masses!. And as we all can see, record sales do not always equal great music!.
Actually, I do think you could consider something a talent, beign able to find music other people you know would like!. I know my friends love it when I make them a mix CD and they find a handfull of bands they love that they wouldn't have heard of otherwise!. I think there is a skill in being able to make a mix CD for someone based on what you think they'll like instead of what you really like right now!.

And yes music will help you with the guitar!. If you listen to lots of different genres of music you'll hear new and different ways of playing and if you try to learn songs from different genres it will help you a LOT!.

If you have an ear for music and can identify notes, and know when the chords are off or someone missed a beat,and are able to judge how some one is performing I would say that you have a talent, If you just enjoy listening to it, than it's more of a hobby!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i dont think being interested in music is a talent!. I'm pretty sure that it will be a bit easier to learn the guitar if you listen to lotsa musicWww@Enter-QA@Com
