Does trance music have musical notes?!
Question: Does trance music have musical notes!?
I was arguing with a friend!. He says it's not music because it doesn't have musical notes!. Does it have!? What if it doesn't have!? I think every sound has notes, so it can still be music right!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Do you mean written notes or simply musical notes (pitches) or both!?
Any music can be expressed using written notation!. That doesn't mean that notation was used when the music was written though!.
Trance music depends on a lot of electronics to produce the sound!. Not only are notes (pitches) played, but they are altered and effected electronically to create interesting sounds!. Composers in this field do make use of traditional notes, harmony and rhythm as musicians have done for ages!. The also play with sound, striving to create sonic landscapes which will draw in the listener!.
Whether or not they use traditional notes or a mixture of traditional and un-traditional (and whether or not your friend likes it!.!.!. ;-) it is still music!.

That sounds impossible! I think every song has to have musical notes unless it's just all drum beats and nothing else!. Trance music is just as much music as any other kind except that some trance songs don't have any lyrics!. Nevertheless I love trance music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
