In guitar terms, what does top and rear rout mean?!

Question: In guitar terms, what does top and rear rout mean!?
Answers:
The top route will be the holes cut(routed) on the top side of the guitar for the pickups and other electronics, with the rear route being access to the tremolo(fender) or volume/tone pots/battery on the back of Gibson style guitars!.
