Question: Do you think that the person you feel is BEST RAPPER says anything about how intelligent you are!?
Aside from liking a rapper because of charisma and the beats that carry them, the BEST RAPPER, to me, weighs heavily on clever/witty punchlines & overall lyrical agility!.
Do you think people who enjoy music by Khia, Chingy, etc lack a certain level of intelligence since their music doesn't provoke thought - as opposed to artists like Kanye or JayZ who have broad vocabularies!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

To an extent yes but some people are just young think back to when you were a kid I bet some of the stuff you liked then you think of now with a certain degree of I can't believe I used to like that!. However if someone was my age now and still liked that cheesy chart stuff or still thought the Thuggy gangsta stuff was the best form of Hip Hop I'd probly question why!. For example my cousin pretty much only listens to things like La Coka Nostra, Ill Bill, Necro, OC, Jedi Mind Tricks etc!. this is because he doesn't have the time to seek out and expand his tastes and all his "hardcore" friends probly put him on to this stuff!. Then with the cheezy pop fans it's like well maybe they aren't intelligent enough to see the message and only want the clubby beats and singalong choruses they hear when they go out!. Because I'm still an avid Hip Hip Fan though I'm looking for the substance in the rhymes, the samples in the beats and the overall classic quality!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't view it as a scale, more like groups!. Group 1 who are people who only know popular rap songs or bad ones, knows nothing about Rap and should never talk about it, Group 2 knows some old school stuff at least if not some partially underground stuff like Nas, they are o!.k!. and I feel like their rap knowledge is decent but they can't override someones opinion in Group 3, Group 3 is people who would listen to Rap even if it was not popular they know tons of songs from Rappers Delight to Dre Day to International Player's Anthem!.
