In my personal opinion a sell out is someone who goes with the type of music that the record labels say they should make!. ( Not necessarily their original music style!.!.!. they make it more generic for the masses ) and lose their originality in the process!.
Poser!? Hhmmm, I'd say a poser is someone who really doesn't have a clue what they are spouting off about!. Like someone would say MCR is the best heavy metal band ever made!.!.!.!.!.!.!. and mean it! LOL :)Www@Enter-QA@Com

1) A band who changes their musical style for money or for a current trend!. When In Flames sold out, they started to sound mainstream!.

A sell out to me is a band who goes mainstream just for the money, and not to show their true unique style!.

A sell-out is a famous person who's fame began in a grassroots kind of way, and then the famous person "sold out" by becoming a comercial comodity!.

Well, when talking music, I’d usually call a musician/band a sellout because of them changing their ways to please others/get more money!. It was kind of like when you saw Chris Daughtry start singing different songs on American Idol, he obviously sold out to please more people!.
I would consider a poseur/poser someone who tries to be something they are not to “fit in”!. Someone who refuse to be themselves!. Kind of like emo kids, usually they aren’t depressed, so they make stuff up so they can be a “cool emo kid”!. Another example is when someone tries to label themselves as something to be cool, like someone who calls themselves Punk when they don’t know anything about the history of Punk Rock!. Poseurs are pretty easy to pick out and they are extremely annoying and even at times offending!. *Note I’m NOT any kind of label, I was just using Punk as an example!.

and Sell out I hate that word!.!.!.just because Metallica"sold out" with the Black album doesnt mean its not good!.!.!.same with Leppard and others!.!.!.I know the original fans made the band and all, but they have to pay bills to!.!.!.!.do we stay in the same position in our jobs if advancement and money come into play!?!?!? think not!.
