Generally they are pretty wild!. IE: pushing, shoving, crowd surfing, etc!. I don't like them very much, I almost got trampled at a Mindless Self Indulgence concert, the mosh pit was so craaazy and it was really crowded and hot and it was outside so there was dust and stuff everywhere!. -_- A lot of people really enjoy it, though!. I guess if I had the courage to do it I probably would too!.
And, no, Rocco G, they do not play Ring Around the Rosie in MCR pits!.!.!.!.

Haha I LOVE the first guys answer!. But, yeah, that's pretty much what moshing is!. You have the people who try and dance, the people who crowd surf, and the people who are just in it to get battle scars!. I got punch really hard in the throat once, nearly knocked me out, and one of my friends got kicked in the head by a crowd surfer!. Although it really is fun to show off your wounds!. You don't even think about the pain, it's like the adrenaline takes over and it actually feels rejuvenating to get hit really hard!. The pits are the most fun places to be!. Honestly that's like my happy place!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
you could consider it "crazy dancing" I guess!.!. people do different things!.!.!.!. basically during the violent parts of songs people just !.!.!.really do go crazy!. They'll jump around throwing their fists in random directions, jump in and just push other people and while being pushed, rock out and hit people with their heads (I still have a bruise on my forehead from a seether mosh pit on monday)!.!.!.!.also the outer ring of the mosh pit likes to keep you in by pushing you towards the center when you hang out on the edge!. It's common for people to fall in the mosh pit, where people USUALLY help you up!.!.!. sometimes you can get a row of 5 people all falling at once which can be a bit chaotic!.!.!. I've seen people's earrings get torn out, I've had a nose bleed in one, others have been cut!.!.!. if someone has any metal/sharp objects on your clothing, it can be painful!. I've found that a lot of the time there'll be 2-3 huge guys who will just take over a pit and push anyone who comes next to them!.!.!.ruining the fun!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
