Artists stopped needing talent to be popular because of technology?!
Question: if technology can make people sound good, they no longer need talent. as long as they can appeal to the masses they will be popular. agree/disagree?

thats why music isnt as good anymore. back in the 70's they didnt have all the technology, but they sounded way way better than anyone does now thats why i think music isnt as good anymore, because a lot of the artists dont have alot of talant

yeah. I hate bands like that too which is why I stay away from all of them bands. I like small town bands that no one know about for the fact that they are real :]

Not all artists fit into this category, but a lot of them do.
of course; most of the artist out there now, just hope we can get back to the good ol' days of the rolling stones and bob dylan. indie music is keeping my interest though.

Agreed, but technology isn't the problem. The problem comes from producers who won't take a chance on anything fresh and original. It's all formulated based on a proven seller. Back in the 70s, artists were encouraged to be creative and original. Those were the good old days; when the music was created by the musicians.
