What is your favorite Beethoven song mine is Moonlight Sonata No 14?!
Question: Moonlight Sonata is beautiful in the first movement, and especially taxing in the third movement. My favorites of Beethoven are the songs that exemplify his extreme virtuosic abilities.
What's most impressive about him is his near-complete deafness NOT impeding his ability to make amazing music. He must have been a natural musical genius with perfect pitch and all of that!
So my favorite pieces by Beethoven are:
- Piano Sonata No. 8 - beautiful and captivating
- Symphony No. 9 - breathtakingly complex
- Piano Concerto No. 4 - relaxing and verymuch enjoyable
- Waldstein Sonata, Mvt. 1 & 3 - riveting in 1st, sweet in 3rd
- Moonlight Sonata, Mvt. 1& 3 - melancholy & pretty
- Sonata in F Major (Op. 24) - amazing piano+violin duet
- Symphony No. 5 - Mvt. 1 & 3 & 4 - first movement is in top 10 best known pieces of classical music, last 2 movements are spectacular

The Moonlight Sonata is not a song. It is a solo piano piece.
However, mine is Piano Concerto No.4.
Missa Solemnis , it rocks
Beethoven didn't write too many songs (pieces with lyrics). But I really enjoy his string quartets and symphonies. Among my favorite are 3, 6 and 7. I also love his Cello Sonatas. Especially the Gminor.
