Is band for losers only?!
Question: Im in band and I LOVE it and im really good in band! But lots of people in my class think its for losers only.

People who are shallow will always express their opinion so that it is degrading for someone else. So, consider the source.
Personally, I was in the band in high school, and we marched in the inaugural parade for President John F. Kennedy in 1961. That was a parade that I never will forget. The whole trip was a great experience. The Greyhound Bus somebodies were on strike, so we rode the train. To get there, we sold band candy, had bake sales, and had the largest spaghetti dinner you can imagine.
We had great trips to Chicago, Washington, DC, and other places.
I still remember the music we played, and I still have my saxophone, but it is now an object of art on my hearth, held by Santa around Christmas. Being in the band gave me an appreciation of music that I still have.
The non-lovers of band probably have no concept of good music, so they will miss even more over the years. They will miss the camaraderie of band members, and they will never understand band jokes. IT IS THEIR LOSS!

NOO not at all. It expands your brain in ways that would not otherwise. Not everyone can be a musician so its an honor. If youre good you can recieve scholarships! At first you mgiht feel like a loser but when you become older you realize the value it has!
It keeps you away from "bad kids" and educates you in such a different way.
If you like it then go for it. A lot of people might think its lame but their probably just jealous. Don't let other peoples opinions effect doing what u wanna do
Do what you love and you'll be happy. Later in life those people will be jealous that they didn't have the talent to even attempt what you're doing
No! Music is great. I did band in Middle School,(sax) but i stopped cause there was too much pressure in the HS band with competitions and stuff in addition to my hw, and i just played for fun. And in my school, our band goes to Six Flags or Disney World every year for a band-only trip! How sick is that?
ppl dont seem to understand how much fun band is... im in it too and i met some really cool ppl in it too!! i love going on the trips and stuff just to hang out with my band friends!! so the anwer to that question is NOOO WAYYY! i love it too and i dont consider myself a loser!

Haaha! Of course not! I'm a clarinet freak :] Who cares what THEY think? You trust THEM before yourself. Live your own life, do what you love and you will surley be happy!
Absolutely not, if you like what you do, stick with it. I'm guessing you're in middle school. By the time you're a junior, people will become more acceptant of others. When i was in high school there were quite a few popular people in band. Our prom king was in the marching band.
Um it seems like it but who really cares what people think, it seems like you like it so keep doing it and get REALLY good!
I will tell you the people in and nerds were not cool when I was in school so I married a cute popular guy and I still love him but now all the nerds and smart kids are running the world so be a nerd now and run the world latter and look at the cool kids and just think you could have had me, to late now. dont let them bother they really are jealous . believe me.
Hey if you love it continue to play, cause it would make you even more of a loser if you listened to what other people have to say. Don't let them chage you , band kid. The truth is we're all dorks inside ! So stick to what you love most, those kids could really care less if your in band or not !! If they honestly care they have like no lives.
All I can say is that bill gates was a "geek, looser" and look where he is now. Do what makes you happy and screw the crowd, Be your own person then you will see who your true friends are.
Band is pretty awesome. I'm going to be in band the next school year, and I hear it's fun. I love listening to them, too.
