Why do some people say Fall Out Boy is gay and they suck?!

Besides the fact that most of their lyrics DO NOT make sense, I used to be a huge fan when they first started. I've got their first album and everything. I think what happened was that Panic! At the Disco kinda stole their sound, so they were inclined to find a new..s.h.i.t.actular sound.
But yea, if you like 'em that's cool. Who cares what people say?
Because you need to learn to respect other opinions about the s.h.i.t band.
They do it because they suck......the gay thing, I don't know them personally so I couldn't say, and using 'gay' as an insult is just stupid.
But if you like them, you shouldn't care what other people think.

They sold out and they don't write good music.I will say I was a fall out boy fan..way before they were on MTV and that stuff.They used to be good.Have hard their new stuff.They sold out big time.It's nothing like they were. I understand bands grow.It didn't even sound like them.Now they suck hardcore.I don't even listen to them becasue even there old stuff sucks now too. People can say whatever they want it's free country.Just get over it.If you like it.That's all that should matter to you not what I think or your friends think.Now I like Post-hardcore,and metalcore..things like that.

personally I think they're a lame excuse for a band but to answer your question it's people's opinions. not everyone is going to like the same things. some people don't like the bands I like but I don't let them get to me. just listen to the bands you like and don't worry about the crap people say

each to their own is the best answer in this case, some people will have liked 'softer' you may even call it 'popular' rock originally, but then progressively moved on to heavier bands (because they want more from a song than nonsense lyrics such as the ones in fall out boys songs) i bet the majority of people who like fall out boy would also enjoy Panic at the disco and.. erm well any other band that get air time on your local radio station.
personally fall out boy came out too late for me, i had already had a taste of real good music such as deftones and slipknot, and inevitably became to like pink floyd (amazing band).
I like 2 of their songs and that's it...and I don't even like their songs that much. But I never talk sh!t about a band I don't like...you're right it's pretty rude and I don't wouldn't like people offending my taste in music so why should I do it to anyone else?
But if it's someone like Hannah Montana then I wouldn't keep my mouth shut about that girl...I seriously don't get it...how can people say she has a talent or even like her songs!!
