R&P : Do you like a genre of music ... ?!
Question: but that sub-genre simply doesn't have enough bands or songs like that ?
I'm really into political folksy punk like Billy Bragg. but their isn't acts doing the same.. or many of his songs are not that good.

I do, give me a minute and I'll edit.
EDIT: This is from Master C, he's into a lot of this stuff so I had to consult the Master! LOL
I don't know if this is what they are looking for, but these bands incorporate other styles into punk. Some more traditional/folk than others.
The Legendary Shack Shakers http://www.myspace.com/legendaryshacksha...
Custom Made Scare
Against Me (supposedly)
The Tossers/Flogging Molly/Gogol etc
One could say the Violent Femmes
Whole Wheat Bread (more rap-ish at times)
Scotch Greens
Kultur Shock
I hope that helps.
rockkk
I like Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, and a little bit of Rock and Country. Basically, I listen to all types.
Old skool industrial and experimental are good genres.
indie rock mysic is my favorite_x3
White Stripes (or anything Jack White gets involved with)
Shoegaze, Darkwave and Ehreal goth. Being a Brit I know you have heard of them. Here in the states its hard to come by. ( I envy you!!!! )
Bands like Mira, Faith and Disease, Lycia, This Mortal Coil, Faith and the Muse.
Edit I didn't understand? I'm sorry!
Kinda. Bands like Rage Against the Machine and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Yeah - I think this will work...
Space-Rock originally was music that had "spacey" elements in it like Yes & P. Floyd - even though those 2, are under several other sub-genres.
But - There is only one band hat I've ever know to right a decades worth of material - related purely to Space Voyaging.
And that is Hawkwind - Even in the 80s when they wrote more about Cyborgs and Fantasy - they came out with an album in 1990, entitled "Space Bandits"
I don't know of another band that has dedicated so many compositions to this subject - They are probably considered "Space Rock" - but I think they belong in their own Sub-Genre.
btw - If anyone knows of a band that is like Hawkwind - Please let me know!! :)
