Playing F# harmonic minor on piano?!


Question: I know the notes but I'm teaching myself piano so using the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 system 1 being the thumb, 2 index finger, can someone tell me what fingers I use to play the scale on the right hand?

Eh, the left hand indicated by the first poster is, indeed, impossible to play, and it's because they wrote out the ascending pattern slightly incorrectly. The left hand in the F #minor natural/harmonic scales in Group II is the same as the major scales (Eb, Ab, Bb).

Edit: 5 is always the pinkie finger, no matter which hand; 1 is always the thumb, no matter which hand.

Are you sure it's not 2 3 1 2 3 for the right hand ascending rather than 3 4? Seems easier. Report It
