Why do people think its a bad thing when bands go mainstream?!

Question: Wouldn't it be the opposite of bad?

Answers: Wouldn't it be the opposite of bad?

I agree with what everyone says. Most of the time when a band is ‘underground’ you find there shows more wild and breath-taking, the fans are true hardcore fans. But when the go mainstream, they have to deal with the media and the rumors ect.. and it just wears em out. Plus they usually let the fame get to there heads in most cases, and they lose a lot of fans, and change there sound.. and then you practically got teenys populating the stadiums they perform at.

Becuse then they have a chance of selling out or changing up a little...also they could get a different fan base....also they dont like that fact that there not "underground" and cool..now there just like everyone else just makin the money and fading away

nah cause it feels great when ur the only one who knows of em, U want em to hit it big but at the same time annoying when people try to talk to u about them etc. soz hope that helps :D

It's not always bad. But sometimes you get these poser fans which is not cool. They also have tendency to sell out.
