LL Cool J. I just considered him a average rapper when I first heard him in 2000, but in '05 I listened to his older work and loved it. Snoop and Melle Mel are other choices.

I was not at all a fan of Jay-Z until I heard the Unplugged album. That was really the first time I gave him a chance; I actually took time to listen to his lyrics and realized that he had something to say. I've been a fan since, although not of everything.

when lil wayne first came out, everyone was jocking him and cash money and i thought he was lame, then he came put with the carter and his flow matured. now i like him and his metaphors and similes and how visual his music is (may not make sense to some). i just hate all of his stans he s not the best, but his flow is nice.

Yeah often it's rappers that have a rep I don't like to get caught up in the hype. I can also be a bit of a hater when my friends like some mc and i didnt discover them first.
Immortal Technique was one like that at first I was like whos this extremist but he makes sense if you know what he's talking about.

I don't like nas becuse of that 'i can' song too and i've never given him a chance because of that. For me it's Eminem I hated his music till he brought out the eminem show album. I liked Jarule after his concert.
theres been a few. I didnt like canibus when I first heard him. Or redman, GZA or visionaries either.
At the same time theres been many artists that I liked then disliked such as DMX, Jay Z, Mobb Deep, Big pun etc.
At first I did not like Eminem.
