I am a multi-degreed, certified music competition judge in NY (NYSSMA). If you read the credits at the end. it is made PLAIN that the producers choose whomever they wish - the so-called *votes* are only to help the gage who they might want to put on future shows to keep it *interesting*. It's like those roommate reality shows, where they find people who would MURDER each other if left any longer in that house! Iron Chef is also rigged - we have a world-famous culinary school close by, and the owner of the Iron Chef franchise spoke at length about how the show operates. You PAY to have your chef and restaurant featured. No secret ingredient, no surprises. Idol is the same. Set up from the beginning. I *know* real competitions - and this is NOT NOT NOT one of them. As Bill Maher said - they spend months picking out somebody who is no better than cruise ship entertainment.
Heck yeah! How do you explain Kristy getting to stay for 2 weeks, and two great singers going home? Micheal Johns is awesome, and he went home tonite. Not fair! It doesn't matter, b/c I still have David Archuleta in their. But I do wonder about the votes.
