How do I plug mixers, microphone, audio interface together???!

Question: I have a Behringer UB1002, a Shure Sm58 microphone, a Yamaha keyboard and a Edirol Ua20 audio interface. I also have the appropriate cables as I asked the shop today.

Basically, I don't know where to plug it in lol...AT ALL! Do I plu the mixer to the audio interface using control room outs, main outs???

Please, I really need your help...can you explain everything precisely and slowly. Am I allowed to email you?

I assume that you are trying to record your self into a computer based system via the edirol. Question; are you doing a live recording or are you trying to make a studio recording? your answer will affect how to proceed. I am assuming that you are trying to do a studio style recording. first plug the mic into the 1st channel on the mixer. next plug the keyboard into the last channel of the mixer, using the left and right capabilities of that channel. next plug the main outs into the edirol (L&R) inputs. this allows you to use the master output meters on the mixer to visually monitor the signal going to the interface. you can use the control room output to go to a seperate set of 'book shelf' speakers or to a tape recorder or even an aux. input on your home stereo. (this is useful for practicing stuff without using the computer). I think you can probably handle the usb hookup from the edirol to your computer or daw. If not you can e-mail me. good luck!

If you don't even know how to plug it in, you shouldn't even have it. I know how to plug all my stuff in, and no one taught me. If you were that into music, you'd know already, or you would figure it out. Jeez, read the manual at least...
