Well...as long as Derek Riggs was painting the covers, Iron Maiden ALWAYS had great album art.

Tool has great covers and excellent music. If you have not given them a chance then you should.
Cradle of filth has beautiful Album art but I don't care for the new stuff at all.
Dimmu Borgir has great album art. I like them as a band too.

On their first album title sucide note and butterfly kisses they have a song title Lip Gloss and Black with it noted as there signature song and a true fan favorite. The song ends in four words....LIVE, LOVE, BURN, DIE
each of there four albums thus far represents one of the words.
Sucide Notes and Butterfly Kisses - represents LIVE, the cover is full of butterflys and butterflys are a reprentation of life.
The Curse - repesents LOVE the cover has a suductive looking vampire girl dressed in red underwear and the album is mainly about love gone wrong
Death Grip on Yesterday - represents BURN the cover has a man surounded in flames walking out of the fire
Lead Sails and Paper Anchors - represents DEATH the cover has a skelleton on the cover in a old looking boat.
I though that this concept was really neat and was a great idea for album covers. I read about this on a web site and until the fourth album its said that the members in Atreyu didnt even realise that they had this pattern going on, from the song Lip Gloss anf Black.
