Why do bands have to pay back the record label to get there cd made?!

and u have to pay themback by the cd sales

then who's the one paying u the guaranteed check? does it just depend on the number u sell

they get the money whatever is stated in the contract even if the movie doesn't sell?

It pretty much deals with the fact that they got you everything you need to get on tv, make mass productions of your cds all over the world etc. Once you get popular and your making $$ from your songs they will want a fraction back because they put in money to get your name known and well someone paid for you albums to be sold all over even on itunes... lmao!
