Do black people listen to heavy metal cause i like to listen to slayer and slipk!

OMFG what kind of question is that theres nothing wrong with listening to the kind of music you like just because of the colour of you skin. If you like heavy metal, slipknot and slayer just like me =) then you go ahead and listen to them there are mixed race, black people, asian people all sorts of people that listen to heavy metal. Its kinda like askin if a white person can listen to RnB!!! But yer anyway you go ahead and listen to what you want!!!!

I've known a few over the years that were in to it, there's also been bands with black members in them.
Heavy Metal is dominated by the white majority.. But there also many blacks/asians into this.
You see.. Rock started on the foundation of black people's blues and gospel music.. The white man brought it into the mainstream.
When it was in the mainstream..
Black people swinged more to the funky side of rock (funk,rnb)
Where as white people went to the heavier side (punk,metal)

i've met tons of black people who listen to metal, punk and indie music
it's definitely a stereotype that exists.. because even when I think black people I automatically think they're either into soul music, jazz or hip hop// and i'm not racist it's just association as you know

most definatly YES. I have a friend whio's of mixed race. His Father's Aribic.His Mother English. He listens to Slayer Pantera, White Zombie, Black Sabbath & many many more.
i have many black friends who get down with slipknot and one in particular who was inspired to start his own band. It is not an uncommon thing.
When I was in high school (graduated in 1988), I had this friend who was black and into heavy metal. He had long, curly hair and had parts of it dyed blonde. And wore a leather jacket. Color of skin means nothing to what type of music one should listen to. I'm a white female and like all kinds of music, from Ice Cube to Barry Manilow. It's music taste that makes us unique in our own way, not skin color.

I have a black friend who loves Heavy Metal. Aha, maybe it's because I burn cd's for him and somewhat force him to listen to it. But I think he likes it. I don't think that color has anything to do with the type of music people listen to. I see black people all the time with metal band tees on. And I see them at shows. Really now, why would race depict a person's musical taste.
