Please help - Vocal Fry? And Help With Growls?!

Question: I've been trying to learn how to bree [pig squeal], and in the process of learning I got a few things about having to first be able to growl and vocal fry.

1. What in the hell is "vocal fry?"
2. HOW do you vocal fry?
3. How can I learn to growl?
[Plus any tips for bree would be deeply appreciated]

And I don't really know if this is an important point or not, but I'm a GIRL that is trying to learn to do these things.

Vocal fry is vibrating on your vocal chords. If you send a small about of air to your chords, they begin to vibrate slowly. If you increased this air pressure a little more, you would get a full tone. So obviously it doesn't take much air to do vocal fry. 1. Add an element of style to your singing.
2. Add an aggressive 'buzz' to your voice. This sounds great in rock music!
3. You can use vocal fry to do blood curdling screams if you like. And it's even safe for your voice to use this technique.
Do a vocal fry, and I'm warning you it will shatter your vocal chords. Don't do it.

Now for the pig squeal. I told someone how to do this yesterday so here that is:
The way you do it is you kind of have to talk like Marge Simpson. Scrunch up your face a little while doing it, open your mouth wide and belt!. Now for pig squeals, you want to take that scream and go pretty low. You really want to limit the amount of air you get out when you pig squeal, there shouldn't be that much. Try and get your lips as tight together as possible, and keep trying to say 'bree'

Growls and "bree"s are completely ideotic and the lowest form of music.

If you can do that...
It doesnt make you a vocalist or a musician.

I think that your ? was already addressed, But you might want to consider this.
Four Non-Blondes
reason being, one-hit wonders due to something called Polyps. Some throats cannot handle growls and brees. You might want to have a doc check your throat before you try to sound like a howler
