I'd like to get a music keyboard for use with FruityLoops, Cubase etc... wha!

Question: I've been looking at digital pianos, but I'm not sure what kind of output I would need in order to plug into my PC for use with editing programs. Synthesizer, Workstation, Piano, Midi... what's the dif? Can any be used? I just want to hit actual piano keys as opposed to using my PC's keyboard. Looking at spending around $200, but I would also like to be able to use it as a stand alone music keyboard. I'd also like X/Y controls. Any recommendations? Thanks!

IF YOU WANT MIDI AND AUDIO I WOULD SAY THE YAMAHA PSRE-403 WOULD BE THE BEST CHOICE, IT RUNS FOR ABOUT 200 NEW OR YOU CAN FIND A USED ONE FOR LESS. IT IS USB OUT SO YOU WONT NEED A MIDI INTERFACE TO HOOK IT UP TO YOUR PC AND LIKE I MENTIONED EARLIER IT HAS AUDIO AS WELL.

what kind? Get any cheap midi controller, that will do the job. Novation seem to have stop producing good synth to focus on plain midi controller, that would be a good choice if you do not want the absolute cheapest controller.
