Answers: nee dmore answers than just get rich or die trying

long live the kane and the infamous

i cant name one person who still bumps long live the kane. i big daddy kane's flow was dope, but not timeless.

i dont think mobb deep was that talented, i think they were OK. the fact is; their 90's new york flow was dope. them? not so much.

just my opinions.

i understand what your gettin at, most of them time when there is a question asked about classic albums credibility people choose albums that are obvious as a cop out. lets be real: if you didnt really feel illmatic, post it. if you didnt really feel reasonable doubt, post it. no one is going to beat you up, its just the internet people.

that being said, i didnt think the chronic was so great either. aside from let me ride, dre day and rat-tat-tat, i really dont bump that anymore.

edit- uh oh....i think its all comming to light...lol

you should post this question:

"how many of these albums are classics?"

1. Eric B. and Rakim - Paid in Full
2. Midnight Marauders
3.Illmatic
4. The Chronic
5. Reasonable Doubt
6. The Blueprint 1
7. Straight Outta Compton
8. Makaveli - The Don Killuminati Theory
9. The Low End Theory
10. It takes a Nation of Millions.
11. Raekwon - Only Built for Cuban Links
12. Life After Death
13. Strictly Business
14. Biz Markie - Goin Off
15. Heavy D and the Boyz - Big Tyme
16. Brand Nubian - 1st album
17. 36 Chambers
18. It's dark and hell is hot
19. In my Lifetime Vol 2
20. Mama said knock you out
21.De La Soul - Is Dead
22. College Dropout
23.Get rich or die tryin
24. Niggaz4life
25. Mecca and the Soul Brother
26. Streets of New York - Kool G. Rap
27. Death Certificate
28. All eyes on me
29. Me against the world
30. Dogg Food

Make sure you say "all of them" is not an option. or say: rate them from 1-10. whatever's your bag.

black trash by sticky fingaz

"De La Soul Is Dead"

Let's Shoot Some Mufuhcuz by Mufuhcuh Shootuh

It has about 2 good songs but hasn't lived up to the hype.

The Chronic for it's production. Dre basically looped the majority of the sounds on that album. The G-Funk sound wasn't orginal. When I heard some of the songs that he sampled I was in shock. I thought it was all his own sound.
Who ever claimed anything that 50 made was a classic?

All Eyez on Me by Pac

2 off the top of my head:

The Chronic - Dr Dre. In my mind the most overrated album in hip hop history. Just because it ushered in a new sound and introduced Snoop Dogg doesn't make it classic. Where is that sound now anyway?

The Diary by Scarface. I don't know anyone who owns this album or still plays it. Lyrically its very good but production wise its not.

MC JuicyFruit's "Legendary Beat" hasn't stood up to the test of time. (Though it has been often imitated.)

JuicyFruit's "VisionVictory" is his classic that will endure.
