Answers: I have 2 choice. I want to see if anyone was better then i came up with. Geoff Tate of Queensryche & Bruce Dickenson of Iron Maiden

Rob Halford - Judas Priest
King Diamond - Mercyful Fate

Dave Grohl....Foo Fighters!

Angry Anderson: Rose Tattoo

Ronnie James Dio

Bon Scott

Claudio Sanchez- Coheed and Cambria

robert plant

can't go wrong with the Seattle contingent: Chris Cornell or Geoff Tate

Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin.

I really like Ozzy's voice. In his younger days, his voice seemd to me like sunshine at the beach -- never mind the lyrics! LOL

awesome choices, I'll say Rob Halford-Judas Priest, Steven Tyler-Aerosmith, Tom Araya-Slayer...(to name a few) King Diamond is one of the best too.

Bj?rn "Speed" Strid of Soilwork has a range from melodic to multipule tears of screams that can fit into anyones act... hes a vocal genious...

Corey Taylor aswell from Stone Sour, Slipknot... his range is amazing, but not as great or as wide as Bj?rn's can be

well, being that you'd not know most guys I'd name, I'd have to say The King ov Rock, King Diamond (lol, get it?)

EDIT no, the OTHER guys I listen to.

1. Geoff Tate (Queensryche)
2. Mike Patton (Faith No More)
3. Ronnie James Dio (Dio, Sabbath, Rainbow)
4. Rob Halford (Judas Priest)
5. Mike Matijevic (Steelheart)

Kurt Cobain...great voice for grunge. Dave Grohl...no

randy blythe (lamb of god)
howard jones (killswitch engage)
maynard james keenan (tool)
phil anselmo (pantera)

serj from SOAD has a really cool accent/ singing style

Steven Tyler.

Rob Halford
Geoff Tate
Layne Staley

how about that Robert Plant?

matt tuck-bullet for my valentine
tim lambesis-as i lay dying

Howard Jones- great range, can sing and scream.

brent from shinedown, or the guy from seether. or axel rose

Kim Bendix Petersen
You know who he is. His Solo career, specifically.

Matt Barlow
Iced Earth (he's Baaack)

Hansi Kursch
Blind Guardian

Tony Kakko
Sonata Arctica

Ronnie James Dio
Black Sabbath/Heaven & Hell
Dio
Rainbow

Wow well I would say Robert Plant as my fav.
As far as best I would say versatility goes to Freddy Mercury with Bruce Dickenson behind him

Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying

Maynard James Keenan of Tool

Glenn Danzig
King Diamond
Phil Anselmo
Jamey Jasta
Al Jourgensen
Jens Kidman

Definitely Bjorn "Speed" Strid from bands like Disarmonia Mundi and Soilwork....his vocals are so versatile....he is quite amazing...he can go from screaming and growling to clean vocals perfectly......he even now has a funk band that, even as a metal lover, I can say it sounds amazing.....

Also, Sully Erna from Godsmack....his voice is one in a million

:)

Edit: J S.....nice to see another person mentioning a genius like Bjorn
:)

it's really interesting no one mentions Michael Akerfeldt from Opeth. He can growl brutally then sing the next minute
