Does anyone kno anything about a King Zephyer Bari Sax?!
Question: Im a Bari sax player through my highschool and i want to find a personal Bari. I dont want to go out and buy a brand new one and i keep seeing King Zephyer's on ebay so wat do u think of them and if u dont like them tell me wat u personally like

I've never played a Zephyr bari, but would love to; Zephyr altos and tenors are great playing horns that are very sturdy and have a robust sound as a rule (put one next to a Super 20 and you'll see marked similarities in key design and body tube- the neck and octave mechanism are the main differences). Question: do you need low A? It is very doubtful that any of the Zephyrs are equipped to play below low Bb, so if you need low A, you'll need a low A model.
I like the vintage Conns best of all; the 12m and the 11m (low A version) are very responsive in all registers, including altissimo and the keywork/posts are very sturdy.
I would personally not buy a horn on eBay or from any other source that would not allow for trying the horn before spending your hard-earned cash. Things like dents, creases, and tone hole irregularities cannot necessarily be discovered from pictures only: these diminish a horn's playability and value.
