first your going to want to pick a scale.
then what u do is make up a 2 riffs, one for the chorus and one for the verses. punk bands tend to use mostly power chords so use them.
then take one of the riffs and change it up slightly for the intro and outro.
after the second chorus or so make up a little solo that is in the same scale but preferably up an octave. play solo over a mixture of the chorus and verse riffs.
as for lyrics just make up stuff about whatever, it doesn't need to be about stuff that pisses you off, though punk bands tend to do that. what my cousin used to do for his band was find an object around the room then just write whatever came to his mind about it.
if you want more of a ska punk feel use more up strokes and up beats, also sing bout more happy things
as for drumming i have no idea cause i play the bass.
for alternative rock just make it a little bit more stoner, slow down the tempo at some points, not to breakdown speed. tends not to be as pissed off with the lyrics more bout love and stuff.
so just rock out with your c___ out.
well if your young try using things around you that kind of piss you off as such and write lyrics.
use only three chords and say something vaguely offensive about the establishment.
for the guitar parts of a punk song, i basically just play around with power chords, make up new riffs. i think your new to guitar so i'm not sure if you can do this. (i remember you asking which guitar to buy and stuff, but please excuse me if i'm wrong.)
but if you want lyrics, i guess just write about something that pisses you off. well thats one way. another way is just go with the flow, think of a topic, and just write away. hopefully you have a better creative flow than mine, my "creativity" only flow's when a really cool song gets me into the mood.
if you watched school of rock, "mr.s" teaches the class how to write a punk song. its sorta like writing a real punk song i guess. i'll try to find it
with a pen or pencil preferably so u can erase anything u want to fix.
write about what pisses you off, then just make power chords and slide 'em up and down the neck, strumming really fast, that will automatically make you better than some of the crap that is considered punk now-a-days

write the lyrics to be simple!
