Answers: name a rapper u thought was so great when u heard there 1st album but then flop there second time

to me was 50 cent, he was real good in power of the dollar and get rich or die tryin, but when massacre came he started 2 die out

Snoop dogg
Only one good record to date.....the first

Fat joe. He was good (well pun was good and he just copied his style) for a while but he sucks now.

since u already named 50..ill go with snoop

i still like him but he was better

its a stretch but lil wayne cuz i sort of like the Hot Boys a little but now he sucks balls

Kanye West, Afroman

q-tip, i dont like any of his work outside of the albums he did with a tribe called quest

its snoop dogg by far...

because he was at such a high level in the early 90's...now he is just struggling

i will say that i enjoyed get rich or die tryin...but 50 clearly has nothing to talk about anymore and mobb deep wasnt really that bad back in the day...like 1995 ish...and they are pretty bad now

Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent.

Eminem;

Nas;

Lil Wayne: Everything PRE-Carter 2 was good....

Jay Z;

Styles P;

The Game;

Snoop Dogg;

Hey 706, I was gonna say Jay but I knew I'd be set on fire by his intense fans. I don't think he sucks but he is definitely not on his old level. I still enjoy is work. American Gangster was pretty hot.

No way man Jay-z could never suck, i'll have to admit Kingdom Come wasn't the best but he did bring his self back with American Gangster.

But a great rapper who went wack would have to be Lil Wayne when he was with the Hot Boys he had alot more credit but now that he is all by his self he sucks on a major level.

I woulda said Jay-Z, but he sucked before his first album.

well i have a couple to name

Snoop was good in the 90s and early 2000 now hes music is stupid!

also 50 cent, he went from good to bad!

kanye, i use to love his songs when he first came out. now all he talks is about how much money he got and hot fly he THINKS he is

It happens to most of them after their 2nd or 3rd LP. They start hanging out with Rich Folk and the In Crowd and completely lose touch with the motivation that drove their lyrics and beats in the first place. Sometimes after a couple of weak albums they find their way back to reality or in most cases they're lost forever making club bangers and party rhymes.
Jay Z although he always talked about the funds
Nas but he has started to gain respect back
Ras Kass a horrible end to a promising career
Outkast what drugs are they on
Snoop Dogg Sitcom Star Sitcom Rapper
and then some are wack from the get go.

Slick Rick

with all due respect: hip-hop is dying... it's gotten way too commerical and is no longer nearly as cool as it was 5 years ago. How can they keep doing the same stuff over and over? I think what's coming back now is dance music.. just check the Rihanna single or the Cascada single or even the Danity Kane single... btw --- for those in the know -- this dance style is actually coming from Europe, and now the American producers are starting to copy it.... check this itunes link for a compilation of the european stuff -- spend 5 seconds listening to it and you'll know what I'm talking about..... http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZSea...

You gotta understand that as a rapper you have to change up your style over time like Fat Joe or Jay-Z listen to him when he first started he was like a machine gun. Nas had a flow like no other but now he has a pretty okay flow but his lyrics are still great.

I agree with 50 cent. I was the biggest fan when he came out, then after The Massacre, he started to fall off. Mainly cause he keeps starting drama with everyone.

Another one is the game. His album the Documentary was a street classic. Then he came out with doctor's advocate. It was okay, but nothing compared to his debut.

Jay-z, reasonable doubt a certified classic....the rest of his disography: bin fodder.

BONE THUGS! Ever since they went soft and did that song with Phil Collins.. wow.. they suck!

No rapper was ever great
