Buzzcocks fans???!

Question: Your favorite album....favorite song???

Answers: Your favorite album....favorite song???

Don't mind me - I'm here to Answer
........................& blow off some "steam" LOL

They were the most intelligent of the early Punk bands - though I love the Damned - This is about the Buzzcocks.

Another Music In a Different Kitchen - btw... I have the original import on Virgin Vinyl from my Dad's Collection - it came in a Silver Sack - so cool!!

Love Bites was a bit more melodic - but Excellent!!

...and don't forget the early DeVoto (pre-Kitchen) recordings, as well as - Singles Going Steady and A Different Kind of Tension.

If I have to pick --

ALBUM - "Another Music In a Different Kitchen" (important in Punk History)

SONG - Shelley & DeVoto's "You Tear Me Up" TIED with - "Just Lust" which has Diggle on vocals (doesn't it?)

While we're on the subject - Whenever PUNK Q's come-up, I rarely (if at all) see the Buzzcocks mentioned - People always put down the standards, - Ramones, Sex Pistols, etc.while the Buzzcocks and the Dead Kennedy's were better than all of them.

Finally (for my "Thumbs-Down to be" comment) --
Here are the greatest and most important British Punk Rock groups –

1. The Damned
2. The Buzzcocks
3. The Sex Pistols
4. The Stranglers
5. Wire - Pink Flag

THE CLASH do NOT belong in the Top 5 of ANY Punk Rock listing.

The Jam – were better than the Clash !!

People – use your senses, make an effer - and stop following the crowd…

..and speaking of Howard DeVoto - His band MAGAZINE was most likely the Best Band of the New Wave –

There first 3 albums, are Masterpieces and I've never seen them mentioned on this site.

It's as if - people here, know "just enough" to answer a question on "historical" music, without really knowing (or having heard) - ALL the bands that were from “said” period.

It's so tiring and a sad state of affairs, when the same old answers are regurgitated...

Bring on the Thumbs-Down – I know how the Truth hurts LOL

EDIT - "EvilSandia" and "in your face.." --

- I agree "What Do I Get" is a great song!
.

I hate to be cliche but,

Album:
Singles Going Steady -- A lot of good stuff on one album

Song:
What Do I Get? -- First Buzzcocks song I heard and still my favorite.

I can hardly call myself a fan because I don't actually own a studio album *blushes deeply*. I've been meaning to get their first few since I bought Singles Going Steady but I haven't gotten around to it somehow, love everything I've ever heard by the band though.

But I'll go with "I Don't Mind" for my favorite song, really really great poppy-punky good stuff.

Ever Fallen in Love....., Orgasm Addict

Spiral Scratch

I guess Orgasm Addict is my favorite song.

I love that song "Lipstick" and "What do I get"

song - boredom,
album - love bites

or get the spiral scratch ep if you can
