Ne-yo...just look at the lyrics.
He uses a lot of word play and the songs still make sense. Listen to "Irreplaceable" or "Because of You", that's a pretty good example.
The Dream is just catchy, and all the songs are so repetitive.
You get a few lines and mostly hook....
Put you to bed, bed, bed.......Under my umbrella, ella, ella, ella......Touch my body, how many times do you hear that in that particular song.? and somewhere in between he'll lose you.... "Eggs and grits in the morning, you should tip her"

Ne-yo wrote some good songs, and The Dream too. I pick Ne-yo, he been out longer.
i would hav 2 say NEYO bcuz the dream songs all talk bout da samething [SEX] even tho some of neyo songs are about sex da rest also cover other issues like love nd break up and stuff which u can actually relate not sayin that da dream dont hav som gd songs but i prefer neyo

ne-yo's songs are relateable all of them, the words alone jus makes u say or think of something or someone close to ur heart. the dream jus has catchy sexy songs, but those die out after awhile (except for bed.....love that song).
i love them both...they r both really good writers and have alot of good hits that they have written...but im gunna have to say ne-yo...i jus like ne-yo's writting style better...when he writes i kno the song is goin to be good and have meaning to it....big ups to them both tho...
