On January 26, 2008, People magazine reported that a New Kids on the Block reunion was in the works. An announcement was expected to be made on the band's once-defunct official website in February 2008.[17] However, Danny Wood denied the report, stating there has been "no discussion" of a reunion or new tour for the band.[18]Despite initially denying the reunion rumors on his MySpace blog, Wood soon posted a follow-up entry stating:

"I wanted to clarify since my first post this morning regarding the NKOTB reunion".
"I loved being a part of the group, and have always thought 'maybe someday we'll get back together' — you just never know when your someday will come. "I can guarantee all the fans that if this reunion were to happen, they would hear about it first on www.NKOTB.com."[19]

On January 29, 2008, "Tonight" was added to the band's official site, with an accompanying video of the band's concerts, career achievements and several newscasters stating that the group would be coming back. In February, a preview of a new piano-driven ballad debuted onto the site, and another hip-hop song (written by Nasri) also played at the ending of the video.

The video ends with the phrase "Millions of fans around the world await their return" and "Are you ready?", suggesting that a reunion may still be in the works.[20]

On March 31, 2008, People magazine reported that all five original band members will appear on the Today show on April 4, 2008.[21]

On April 3, 2008, CNN.com reported that all five original band members will reunite, including a new album and a tour. Donnie Wahlberg noted that approximately 80% of the new album has been written by himself, Jordan Knight, and Joey McIntyre. Wahlberg also noted that the tour will consist of both new songs and old favorites

jesus christ Is this a joke
I hope so
: so it is for real holy crap just what the world needs

If you don't like them, you don't have to listen to them. I wish I had nothing better to do than sit around and worry about music groups.

well, i never heard of them,
what kind of music they sing,
i might like them then?....maybe not!?
let me know!

i dont know if there back for good but they are doing a tour together

yah but they're only going on world tour like the spice girls and i htink they shoulod keep their name

Nope they really are coming back, I think it's pretty cool, and I do agree they should change there name. You can always remain a kid at heart, but they should take the "kid" out of their name.

When they released a CD a few years after their height, they went by NKOTB. Maybe they'll do that again?

Mr. Perfect? now that's a joke right I mean your name isn't Jordan Knight so you can't be perfect.....
