Is "Un Bel Di Vedremo" the best Aria you've heard or know of?!
Question: It is the most beautiful aria I've ever heard and from one of the best operas ever "Madame Butterfly" by the great Puccini.
I think Maria Callas sings it the best but Grace Moore isn't half bad either.

I don't know. It is gorgeous (I also have the Maria Callas), but I still have a real soft spot for "Ne Andro Lontano" from Catalani's La Wally. The opera on the whole is no Madame Butterfly, but that particular aria is probably tied with Un Bel Di for my favorite female aria :)
One of the best, yes.
It is one of Puccini's best, that's for sure.
But, although I'm not sure they could properly be referred to as arias - and since I'm a Wagnerian buff - I would have to go with either Brunhilde's "Immolation" from Die Gotterdammerung, or Isolde's "Liebestod" from Tristan Ind Isolde.
