Yes practice will help alot. However, I had a friend who just couldn't carry a tune. She was tone deaf if there is such a thing. From my experience, you must practice alot, your voice will get stronger and you will learn how to breathe while singing, learning not to sing outta your nose etc. But if after alot of practice you still cant carry a tune, than I'd give it up.

From what i hears on youtube..yes that person can carry a tune and has a pretty voice so all she needs is lots and lots of practice.

Yes. The vocal cord is a muscle that can become stronger if properly trained.

Singing lessons always seem to work unless you have no talent whatsoever.

A really bad singer or someone average who can get voice lessons? A bad singer will most likely always be bad. I wish I could sing, but I cant and I am okay with that!

yes its called practice. but the singer on youtube video would need an act of god.

Unless they have some deformity with there vocal cords, yes they can become better with practice

Yes, they just haven't learnt how to place sound and create the sound yet

it all depends. if the person has a good ear and good voice then they can become better. but if they dont have either then they will never become better.

not if your tone deaf!

yes, of course. famous musicians and singers are not just born that way, well most aren't. they had to train their voices and work hard. as long as you keep practicing and training your voice then it will become more mature and sound better.

Haven't you ever heard the saying, "practice makes perfect"?

It applies to singing too.

Sure. Doesn't mean he/she will find an audience.

its called singing lessons

You can improve your singing voice but I think it also comes down to having the talent for it. Some people it comes naturally for and those people are the ones who should be singing .If you have to take lessons I don't think its really in you. The person singing on that site does not sound as if it comes naturally and needs a fair bit of voice coaching

that was not that bad but yeah you should work on controling your breathing and the tone and you'll be fine

You sound alright. First, however, you need to begin singing more fluently. You seemed to have forgotten which words came next. But other than that, I believe that a good vocal trainer can make you the next AMERICAN IDOL. :- )

Back to your question: Yes, a bad singer can become better with vocal training. Vocal training can help a person improve range and voice control. (But let's be realistic, though, if a person can't sing at all, even the best vocal trainers wouldn't be able to help.) Good luck!!

hi, a bad singer can definitely become better. Just like all the answers stated, it just takes practice, practice, and more practice. But, we need to know what we are practising on, and what we want to improve.

From the video, i noticed that your pitch tends to go off-key at certain places, and you did not really keep to a consistent key throughout the entire song. This is extremely important if you wish to impress your audience or your audition judges that you are able to hold a tune well. You need to practise lots of pitching exercises as well as listening practices (aural training) in order to improve on this.

Also, your overall vocal quality is still fine, and it is really not that bad! ;-p You may want to work on variety in vocal tone though, making your voice go high or go low in position, and varying the colours in your singing. Right now, there really isn't very much going on there.

One more point, you might wish to work on your rhythm sense also. Singing without music is difficult because you would need to keep to your own time and rhythm, and it has to be consistent. Try tapping along to a steady beat as you sing this song, and even if you were singing along to other songs. Tapping the beat will get you to feel the rhythm of the song, and you should develop a keener sense of rhythm with more practice.

So you see, we only need to know what we need to improve on, and the rest is just practice. So, keep practising, and hope to be able to hear your voice again, but next time it should sound better! ;-p
