Plz answer my question?!
Question: i wrote a couple of country songs mainly about love, cheating and losing someone u love. i started writing when i was 13 cuz one of my dreams is to get Grammy award for song of the year. in order to make this come true i really need help in making my songs sound better like before he cheats or jesus, take the wheel. i already had posted some of my lyrics and many of the answers were positive about it. what i am asking for are ideas to include in my lyrics and how to make it worth listening.
Thanx in advance for ur opinions
i dont have any talent shows in my school and i dont play instruments

My honest opinion:
Until you learn to write from your heart and not from your trophy shelf, you won't accomplish anything. The great songwriters -- Hank Williams, Ira Louvin, Bobby Braddock, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Harlan Howard, Cindy Walker, Felice and Boudleaux Bryant -- NEVER, NEVER, NEVER wrote songs with a Grammy award in mind. I've met Bobby Braddock, and he is genuinely humbled that a little song he wrote is considered "the greatest song in country music." (The song in question is "He Stopped Loving Her Today.")
Guitar is a great instrument go for it!
If you're writing songs then write about your own personal experiences. It makes it easier to write and easier to play/sing.
maybe write about getting out of your community to show your talents.
Hope I helped, Good Luck with your career! I look forward to your grammy speech.
