Can you play jazz with semi-acoustic guitars?!
Question: Initially I thought full-acoustics like gibson es175 is the ideal instrument for jazz. But then I also wanna play other types of music, like Santana-ish songs and more of the acoustic guitar type songs.
Now I hear that full-acoustic have lower pitch and are mostly played with solo sounds (not good with chord playing). Whereas semi-acoustics have higher-to-middle range pitch, are for all-rounder players and favorable more for chord playing.
So, since I don't want limit my choice of playable music to exclusive for jazz, I was thinking whether semi-acoustics can cover all grounds. Please help me out. Thanks.

The ES-335, semi-hollow body (cuts down on feed-back), is probably the most common guitar for crossover (jazz/rock/blues) playing and is well suited for each. The "fatter" hollow body ES models such as the 175 are usually used by more traditional jazz players.
