yeah, i listen to metal or harcore to help me sleep. its good at blocking annoying thoughts!

Well I don't really think the music itself is what I find relaxing, but more so the familiarity of it. I listen to Metal and Hardcore music most of the time, so that's what I'm used to hearing. So although other people may not find it soothing, the fact that I'm familiar with the music relaxes me.
Or there's always the possibility that I'm just weird.

My favorite death metal bands are (Slayer) & Sepultura along with some others.-they're not "pure speed" but my kind.(I love death metal with melody along with death & some "speed".

At the time of listening to it, I am amped up and hopefully moshing. The after effect however is me being relaxed after releasing all that energy.
