Question: for my music class we have to find out why dj's started playing the rolling stones "ruby tuesday" vs the original a side, and i can't seem to find it. i'm also having trouble with how long the single stayed at number one. billboard only lets me go back 20 years.

The flip side was Let's Spend the Night Together, Ed sullivan made them change the words to "let's spend some time together" on his TV show. Maybe radio station management also were afraid to air the suggestive lyrics.
