Body: Clean it with a dry cloth.
Fret: Clean with dry cloth and apply lemon oil** every time you change strings.

**lemon oil is optional unless if your guitar is very precious (monetarily and/or emotionally).

!!!CAUTION!!!: never apply moisture (it can make the wood expand thus ruining the guitar's body and sound)

Additional piece of advice:
Some guitars have different makes (e.g. wood, hardware, details and other materials) which require different cleaning approaches. So I just gave some very general methods. For a more detailed means of cleaning your particular guitar ask an expert (most probably someone in the store where you bought your guitar) when it comes to maintenance and cleaning...

did you try a cloth?

a clean towel is the best to use. barely dampend with warm water helps, but you need to get all the water off or risk ruining your guitar.

go buy some special guitar cleaner from the shop

well nice choice of guitar might i say first.!!!! ;)
well it all depends on the smudges.
you can probably just use a damp cloth rub it on till it goes then dry it remember to dry it V important.
but that should work.

Use a cloth to clean it :)

Some regular wood cleaner would probably work.
