I noticed the exact opposite. We went from heavy metal in the 80's, to grunge which was pretty hard in the early 90's, to rap metal, to alternative, to emo fags that cut themselves and wear eyeshadow and cry over girls that think they are fags for wearing eyeshadow.

Isn't "soft rock" an oxymoron?

alabama man, there is still an entire underground metal movement, in which i'd say is heavier than 80's metal tenfold. you just have to know what to look for
