id say an 8
hes better than a lot of the rappers these days
he has talent no doubt
but he's inconsistent
he spits a hot verse or two, or a wicked hook, but never all throughout a song
thats why he makes a killing when he's a guest appearance compared to when he's on one of his own songs
hopefully the next album can address this and he makes some songs that are thoroughly dope instead of showing flashes of brilliance here and there
and besides, he uses the same simile/metaphor style over and over
but id still say 7.5, 8 the most

he has some good stuff in his rhymes, but it comes rarely, so he makes up words........stupid words

he is a 3-4 .... in my opinion
I'd give him a 4 for his worst times, 6 for his best. He's average. He's got a fairly decent flow, and he's obviously got something as far as being an entertainer goes. But he mainly loses points for his rhymes being so lame so often. And also for his voice - I can't stand the sound of it.
Edit: Good point Hippity, I suppose that isn't very fair of me. But I REALLY hate the sound of his voice! He only lost a tiny bit for that though, it's mostly for his stupid rhymes.
i think he's about a 7, back on The Carter 2 at least... but now it seems like he can "say don't rhyme, and it don't rhyme" over countless beats, call it a mixtape, and get hailed like he's a 10 or somethin... I honestly think he put some thought into The Carter/Carter 2. I'm not exactly sure though on The Carter 3, cuz like I said he's just churnin out music with no thought in it... but i might be wrong, so i'll have to wait and see.

8. Comes out with good beats, he has good flow, unique sound, but his downfall is his songs are all about the same stuff. Plus he has my favorite line "ok, check out all this ice that i'm carrying. all these carrots like ima Fu***** vegitarian"

ummm, I'll give wayne a 7...he's okay..I like his Swagger and I like his flow..but, he needs a few improvements here and there.
