80s. when you think about it, it's pretty diverse.
early 80s has the tail end of disco and 70s punk.
then you have new wave, rock, hair band metal, and of course the nasty pop (debbie gibson, new kids, etc.).
you can't forget madonna's greatest decade.
then of course the early roots of grunge.
the 90s, because that's when radiohead released all their really good albums

PEOPLE!!!! Okay, i understand the 80's fetish, i was there but how much WHAM! do you want for the rest of your life? The 80's was the first video driven age- glitz over everything. Think Hair Bands. Not that's there's anything wrong with that but i can't see me rockin' out to Ratt or Poisen in the nursing home.
The sixties- definitely. It's when music came of age- The Beatles, The Stones, The Animals, Mamas and the Papas, Janis Joplin...for diversity and enjoyment, the purity of music for music's sake, there was never a time like the sixties. Music started growing up and i could listen to anything from that era.
