An electric guitar would be best for rock/metal. An acoustic guitar is a guitar that uses it's own body (the hole in the middle) to amplify the sound, while the electric requires electronic equipment, amps. You could play any kind of music on an acoustic, but generaly people preffer the electric for this kind of music. Another benefit of electric guitars is that they are easier to start learning on, as you'll spend a few days with the acoustic just developing a thick enough skin on your fingertips to get the notes to ring properly.

electric would be better

Fender Stratocaster!!

most likely the electric

fender man, there amazing!

electric

electric of course

acoustic is different from electric in some ways

but if you want to learn rock or metal, i suggest go with electric first.

it's not true that you should start with acoustic if you want to learn the basic guitar. but it's almost the same anyway

Pshh....

You don't play Guitar Querro

pay attention to all of the greatest classic rock bands majority played a gibson les paul

I don't know anything about guitars, but electric sounds like it would be better. The piano is owns the guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

electric...acoustic is the big hollow one with the hole. its meant for like folk and country. it has no effects or anything, all natural. electric is where u can put distortion on and rock out!

get an ibanez electric. you'll love it, and its affordable.

Definately and electric for that type of music. You'd probably like one with humbucking pickups, like the Les Paul, since they tend to sound crunchier with distortion.
