What style of rap helps you feel "better"?!
Question: Like, does Southern hip-hop make you feel better? Does NY rap? ETC....
Midwest and Southern music help me get out of the dry West Coast and NY rap...
What I mean is that, I'm sure most of you know how NY and West Coast hip-hop is straight up, no cool sound effects, no happiness, just dry lyrics. I love that sh!t, but if I listen to too much of it and do not listen to midwest and southern music, I start to feel like....well, Sh!t. I dunno. Do you have a favorite type of hip-hop?

Jay Z lyrics bring me to another level and i feel like he is rapping to me and with me.. i feel like i can be him when i listen to him.. he is really good at bringing the audience into the picture and or scene with him... on another note Chicago music makes me feel very blue and warn.. it makes me feel well SOULFUL!!! Common, Lupe, kanye makes me feel like just going to a jazz club in chicago and having some warm coffee! very good music! al tho kanye west is very annoying!
I mainly will listen to West Coast rap and also the mid-west rap, such as Bone Thugs, Twista, Do or Die, ect.

The only rapper that I like every one of his songs and never went bad at all was PAC :)
Every other rapper to me it seems faked out at one point or another.
When I'm feeling a little down, I'll put on either Busta Rhymes or Redman. Both of those dudes make me forget all about what was bothering me in the first place 'cause at some point in the song (even though I heard it before) there'll be something in it to make me be like, "wtf.. dude be lunchin." I love the silliness of their lyrics.
So I guess East Coast rap(pers) do it for me.
