Question: I'm 13 and everytime I mention that I like some song from the 80s, my friends always give me this look and say, "What? WHY?! It's old!"
I think the music I listen to is wayy better than the Disney crap they replete their lives with, like High School Musical and Hannah Montana.

80s music is clasic;
way better then the rap that comes out today.
I get the looks all the time but once i start listening to it around my friends they start to like what they are listening to.
It's really all on my ipod. Bruce springsteen is one of the best of the 80s. and all of the other great rock that was out then.
Hannah montana is just a fake little wanna be that only got noticed because her dad is Billy ray cryus. Big woop.

haha, yes, you are absolutely right. Music from the 80s, and 70s, had so much more meaning and emotion. It was written so much better, and was put to music so much better. Which song/songs do you like the most by the way?

'80s music is totally great! I still love the oldies! :-)
My daughter was raised with '80s music and loves it too. She loves current music but also "retro" as well. I took her to a Cinderella and Ratt concert not too long ago because I'm the coolest mom ever! :-)
There are now '80s videos on Saturday mornings on VH1. I love watching it because I remember when the songs were new - back when MTV actually played videos!
