Question: At about 5:50 a.m., they said they were going to play an April Fool's prank on all of us lazy people that start listening at 7:00. They told everyone listening to call in at 7:00 and blast them for "doing that", saying they were going to get fired, etc. You can listen to the whole set up on their website. Between that, the cat meowing all morning, the Tom Cruise interview and killing Todd the Shoeshine Boy with a dog shock collar, I'd have to say they went a little overboard.

Yeah, they went to commercial and by the time I got back to the station it had already happened. Someone answer this, I'm really curious... though I wouldn't be surprised if it was an April Fool's joke...
It's April Fools Day, and HOPEFULLY that's all this was...an April Fools joke. Along w/ that stupid cat meowing on air. If anyone knows what really happened let me know!!
So far I havent been able to find anyone that heard it so I think its an April fools joke. :-) Hopefully that's all it is.

I seriously think it's an April fool's joke. I think they are catching the callers and telling them what to say on the air. I mean how would no one hear what happened... maybe someone should call them and call their bluff. Just say they have been listening all morning and didn't hear anything. LOL

If it was such a big deal and they wanted it to blow over why would they keep patching phone calls through from people? I just don't know how they got away with randomly having people call in without everyone listening being like "what? this is lame"...Unless at like 6:45 they said "Everyone listening NOW...call in and talk about how you can't believe we did that and how you're never listening to us again. We're playing an April Fool's Joke on everyone that starts listening at 7." That's still pretty lame though. And the cat is freakin annoying."

Ok. I am now thoroughly convinced it's a prank. They just had an "interview" with Tom Cruise where we couldn't hear Tom Cruise but we could hear everyone else.
Two callers and "The Tim" called in about not being able to hear him. Then suddenly one caller says he DID hear it.
So, now we have the cat meowing (frickin hilarious btw), the "what just happened" at 7:10 this morning and now the silent Tom Cruise interview. This is just too many pranks in one day.
However, whoever came up with the idea of this morning's (earlier) prank is a genius. Think of the ratings tomorrow. EVERYONE is going to tune in to find out if they got fired or if it was, in fact, a prank. Everyone is talking, calling their friends and blogging. All the hits on the station's website and all the people who don't normally stream them who are (like me). Their PR person deserves a raise for today!

Agreed, I'm kinda annoyed, i'm a loyal listener, and as much as I enjoy a good prank, I also look to them to help my morning go by smoothly and quickly... today not so much, they put me in a bad mood...

I was listening at around 9:30 and they had this guy being shocked with a dog collar everytime someone got a question wrong (like ghostbusters lol)) and he apparently blacked out and everyone went in a frenzy. They completely cut the live feed to the show and went straight to commericials...I went to the gym at this point and am assuming they never returned. Must of been part of the April Fool's theme because they wanted to make it seem like they killed someone on the air.
