Is there a way to convert (Audio) cassette tape to MP3 format?!
Question: I have some old tapes that are priceless to me. Before they get destroyed I would like to transfer them to MP3. Is this possible? Can I pay a business (like Kinko's or something) to do it for me?

You have to buy certain equipment for that. It's pretty cheap. Like this one from Brookstone

i used to transfer them to md..but dnt knw how to convert to mp3..hmmm
i highly doubt it,
you can play the cassette next to a mic plugged into your computer, then re-recored the song onto windows movie maker (just as a narration) then if you have iTunes you can hit inport or something, and find your narration and make it a iTunes file, same as mp3 i think, help?
first download this software (don't worry it's free)

get a audio cable (mini to mini)
plug it from your earphone jack in the stereo tape player
to your cpu microphone jack
run your program & record
play your cassette
enjoy
I think there are places that do that for you but I'm not sure its worth it. You'd have to connect the cassette player to your com through a sound card, record with media player, then convert to mp3.
