Lil Kim lyrics:: terminology, what does thos mean?!

Question: PLEASE: I am doing a college research project which involves Kim, but as a WHITE girl I am a little unclear on some of the specific language in this song. Can someone please help me "translate" or interpret a little?
1. What does "jump off" refer to?
2. What does the third line (regarding the 'hive') mean?:

"I been gone for a minute now I'm back at the jump off
Goons in the club incase somethin jumps off
And back up before the hive let the pump off..."

3.What does this second line mean (7 quater to 8s?)?

"...Our presence is felt like a Black Panther movement
Seven quarter to eights back to back with 'em (Back to back)..."

4. translate:
"And if your ballin let me hear you say right (Right)"

5. disambiguate:
"When I'm steppin out the Range yo it's over
Comin through in the Brooklyn Mint gear"

4. translate:
"And if your ballin let me hear you say right (Right)"

5. disambiguate:
"When I'm steppin out the Range yo it's over
Comin through in the Brooklyn Mint gear"

1. In this context, JUMP OFF, means a party that is poppin, jumpin off.. (JUMP OFF can also refer to a mate who is soley for sexual purposes)

2. Kim refers to herself as QUEEN BEE, so the hive, refers to her crew. (her group of friends that she rolls with)

"I been gone for a minute now I'm back at the jump off
Goons in the club incase somethin jumps off
And back up before the hive let the pump off..."

3.7 quarter to eights-- (a quarter to eight is a 745 BMW) so 7 quarter to eights, would mean 7- 745's

"...Our presence is felt like a Black Panther movement
Seven quarter to eights back to back with 'em (Back to back)..."

4. "And if your ballin let me hear you say right (Right)" - this is simple, ballin refers to having and SPENDING a lot of money, so all she's saying is - "If you got money and your spending alot of it, say RIGHT"

5. She's referrring to a RANGE ROVER, when she says the rtange, and BROOKLYN MINT is a clothing line .. (she's saying that when she hops out of the RANGE ROVER, she's the show stopper, and she's coming thru (wearing) the BROOKLYN MINT GEAR (clothes)"

Ok...I'm a Brooklyn girls so I need to get most of this right, lol.

1. A "jump off" can refer to something hot (like it does in this context) or a friend with benefits.
2. She is the "Queen Bee" so the hive refers to her crew, or entourage in you will.
3. I can only imagine that this is a car reference as the next line (from my memory) is about chrome being stacked...
4. Ballin' used to refer to a ball player of any sort, and the fact that they are usually rich, but no anyone can ball, if you have the money, of course. So if you're Ballin you'd holla back by saying "Right" as Kim asks.
4. I believe that this refers to her brand of clothing that she wears when she comes through...it's also a Brooklyn shout-out.

Hope this helped.

1. back at the jump off means she's back at the place (club) where dudes go to pick up girls to have sex. Usually this is a club.

2. Well she calls herself the Queen B so her hive would be like her crew of male friends who are protecting her.

3. I'm not sure about this one, I would have to read the entire lyric.

4. She's saying if you're doing well financially let me know that you are.

5. She's getting out of her Ranger Rover looking very nice in the finest fashions of New York specifically representing her borough of Brooklyn

1) jump off - hot spot like a club
2) the hive is her posse
3) a line of BMW 745s
4) ballin means bringing in that money
5) when im steppin out of my Range Rover (its over=no contest i win, i'm the hottest chick)
comin through=walkin thru a crowd
brooklyn mint is a line of clothing

1. "jump off" can mean a happening place or club, and it can also mean a casual sexual relationship with another person.

2. "Hive" is her crew. being that she is refered to as the "Queen Bee".

3. 7 Quarter to 8's is refering to the BMW 745 series..get it 745 is quarter to 8 (in time mode), so her and her entourage is back to back driving 745's.

4. "ballin" meaning someone who has money.
Enough money to do whatever they want.

5. Range is refering to a Range Rover jeep. meaing she's stepping out of it, in a mint green outfit (name brand).
