Love songs in techno/emo/rock genre...nice. Anyways, that description immediately made me think of Shiny Toy Guns. Esp. their single "You Are the One" it's very catchy and techno and features a duet between the male and female singers. Hope this helped!
i don't have specific songs but these bands are close to that genre... powerspace, hellogoodybe, forever the sickest kids, shiny toy guns, moving units, and kill hannah. if you're lookin for love songs you should look into hellogoodbye
That made me think of Blaqk Audio. I'm not sure if that's exactly the type she's into, but Between Breaths (A XX Perspective) and some other songs by them might be what you're looking for.
